On February 2nd, 2012, thousands of Alabama residents are going to show their support for their favorite nonprofit during Alabama Gives Day. On that day, every donation will help us further the important work of our organization.
Across the country, the Gives Day movement has been spreading since its origination in Minnesota in 2009. Many states have been able to raise over $10,000,000 for nonprofit organizations, thanks to thousands of donors stepping up and participating in this great philanthropic event. We hope that Alabama will be able to show the nation how giving we are by supporting our favorite nonprofit organizations in a big way. Even the smallest donation can make a big impact when our state comes together.
The purpose of this article is to ask you for your help in the following three areas:

Help build the buzz! Forward this email to your family and friends along with a personal note as to why you believe in our work, and why they should give on February 2nd, 2012.
Please be our champion, and help us see it to the top! We can’t wait to celebrate the difference your generosity will make on February 2nd, 2012.
