Tuition is established by our Board of Directors each year. Tuition for the 2017-2018 School year is $19,900, which includes a non-refundable $1,000 deposit. Our half-day Kindergarten program is $9,450. Tuition costs do not include supply fees, milk and Friday lunch expenses, and costs associated with field trips, school pictures, and yearbook. Additionally, there is a non-refundable, one-time $500 new student fee for new students to the School.
Greengate School is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. One hundred percent of our tuition goes to cover overhead and expenses. Our costs are driven by individualized instruction from highly trained dyslexia therapists, and low student-teacher ratios. While most of our students are exceptionally bright, they deal with a physically and emotionally stressing difference. Very small classes enable our teachers to pay attention to the differences and foster growth, not only academically, but also in confidence and self-esteem. Tuition covers most, but not all, of the cost of a Greengate education. Many generous donors and partners help us to bridge this gap so that we can keep tuition as low as possible for families.
